When autumn colors the Arctic, it’s time to seize what nature offers us! Join us for a week of berry picking, harvesting, cooking, and caring for the dogs. We gather, taste, and preserve the ingredients as we prepare for winter. Here, you’ll get both soil under your nails and the taste of Finnmark on your tongue. For nature’s abundance does not last forever. It must be cherished.
Autumn in the Arctic is short, colorful, and full of contrasts. The forest changes its colors, the air turns crisper, and nature gives us one last chance to harvest before winter takes over. At Trasti & Trine, this is a time to gather, create, and preserve.
We invite you into our everyday life through a week where you will not only taste the Arctic, but also take part in the work behind the flavors.
Join us into the forest to pick berries, gather seasonal ingredients, and learn how we use what nature provides. In the kitchen garden, we harvest what is ready, while in the kitchen and bakery we turn the ingredients into something we can enjoy now or preserve for later. There is room here for both traditions and creativity, and perhaps a few surprises along the way.
The dogs are, of course, part of everyday life. You will join us in caring for them and preparing for the coming winter season, and gain insight into the work behind our adventures.
In between tasks, we make time for good conversations, meals, stories, and perhaps a walk along the Alta River. For autumn is not only about what we harvest, but also about the people we share the experiences with.
And if nature decides we should do something else that day? Then we do that. That’s life up here in the north.
A week where we gather nature’s gifts, share knowledge, and create memories together.
