Our food and bar courses
I have worked as a chef my whole life, and since 2005 I have had the pleasure of creating food based on local ingredients from Finnmark. Through food experiences, courses and dinners at Trasti & Trine I want to share the flavours, stories and traditions from the north with you.
From Raw Ingredient to Finished Dish
You will receive an introduction to meat, such as reindeer, and how we use it in cooking. We demonstrate various uses and share tips on preparation and flavor.
Together we prepare a simple lunch dish, and you will take part in parts of the process. When the food is ready, we eat it together.
Storytelling
We start all courses by explaining the annual cycle we use — when we harvest ingredients, from birch sap in May to the last mushrooms we pick. We tell stories about the nature around us, about Arctic plants and vegetation, how we use them and how we preserve them, including fermentation, drying and salting.

Two ways to experience the adventure
We offer both public and private tours. On our "public" tours there will be up to twelve guests, and you'll have the opportunity to meet other adventurers from around the world.
For private tours you book all the spots, whether you're traveling alone or with friends and family. You get a guide at your disposal, and everything is tailored to your wishes – flexible in terms of start and end points, as well as the activity's duration.
