Pack-hike with dog

We are lucky to have fantastic nature right outside our kennel. And it's beautiful year-round. The smell of warm forest floor and tempting clear river water on a fine summer day. A fire and hot coffee on a grey, chilly day. Crackling autumn colours, sharp air and red-on-red across the lingonberry heather. Come along for a trip!

See our activities

The dogs are the heart of everything we do. We always put their welfare first and want to share the joy of activities with our dogs, the nature and life in the north with our guests.

With a dog and a pack in the mountains

The tour starts at the kennel, where you'll meet our curious huskies. We select the dog or dogs that will join us on the hike.

With a little guidance you can put the pack and harness on the dog yourself, and then we're ready to go.

The destination is Pæskanasen, a small mountain peak about a 1.5-hour walk from the kennel. Some sections are quite steep, but we take our time and stop several times. If desired, our four-legged companions can provide some extra pulling power.

The evening's guide can tell you about Finnmark, the area we travel through, and stories about training and competing with huskies. As we gain height we get great views and can look out over the Storelvdalen valley.

This is included in the tour:

  • Guided visit to the kennel
  • Homemade cake and coffee prepared over a campfire

What you should know before the tour
