An Arctic day trip

You stand on your own sled, with your own dog team in front. The dogs are eager to get moving. You will spend a whole day out on the trail with these four-legged athletes — in the forest, on the river ice, or up on the mountain. Do you accept the challenge?

See our activities

The dogs are the heart of everything we do. We always put their welfare first and want to share the joy of activities with our dogs, the nature and life in the north with our guests.

Where you become part of the pack

With us you're actively involved for the whole trip, from arrival to departure. Once you're dressed and ready, we provide instruction on how to drive a dog sled.

In addition, we explain and demonstrate how to harness your own dogs. You'll be given a list with the names of the dogs that will be in your dog team, so then it's time to get started.

The harnesses hang in designated places and the dogs have their own houses with names on them. Our guides are, of course, present at all times and help where needed. When the dog team is ready, we set off and dash into the forest. The dogs breathe as the sled cuts through the snow, and the silence of nature surrounds us. Now it's time to enjoy the dogs, the weather, and the landscape. We ride through the forest, along the river and possibly up into the mountains. Along the way we stop and eat a warm lunch around the fire. There's time to ask any questions you've thought of on the way. We also have some stories to share with you. Back at the kennel, we un-harness the dogs and settle them back in. This is a trip suited to anyone who enjoys being outdoors and wants to drive a dog team.

Welcome to a day of dog sledding.

Get ready for the adventure

Remember that you are traveling into northern Norway. We provide clothing and equipment adapted to the conditions, but we recommend you bring a few personal favorites for extra comfort during your stay. Nature up here can be both wild and unpredictable, and good preparation makes the experience even better.
