Our food and bar courses
I have worked as a chef my whole life, and since 2005 I have had the pleasure of creating food based on local ingredients from Finnmark. Through food experiences, courses and dinners at Trasti & Trine I want to share the flavours, stories and traditions from the north with you.
The Sweet Side
In the dessert class we work with simple, high-quality ingredients and classic techniques that create sweet, balanced flavors. We go through how to build a dessert from the ground up and how texture, acidity and sweetness interact. Together we make one or more desserts, with you taking part in the entire process. Finally, we enjoy what we have made together.
Storytelling
We start all courses by explaining the annual cycle we use — when we harvest ingredients, from birch sap in May to the last mushrooms we pick. We tell stories about the nature around us, about Arctic plants and vegetation, how we use them and how we preserve them, including fermentation, drying and salting.

Two ways to experience the adventure
We offer both public and private tours. On our "public" tours there will be up to twelve guests, and you'll have the opportunity to meet other adventurers from around the world.
For private tours you purchase all the spots, whether you travel alone or with friends and family. You will have a guide at your disposal, and everything will be tailored to your wishes — flexible regarding start and end points as well as the duration of the activity.
