Tent trip with pack dog

You never feel nature so close as when you sleep in a tent or under the open sky. Food never tastes better than around a campfire after a long day out. Midnight sun or raindrops on the tent fly, contented dogs curling up in the heather, fish rising in small mountain lakes. Will you join us?

See our activities

The dogs are the heart of everything we do. We always put their welfare first and want to share the joy of activities with our dogs, the nature and life in the north with our guests.

Tent life and huskies in the mountains

We begin by spreading out the map and planning the trip together. All shared equipment and the tents are packed in advance, and each participant carries their own backpack with personal gear as well as some of the communal equipment.

When we're ready, we enter the dog yard and are greeted by eager, happy huskies who can hardly wait to get out. Together we pick the dog(s) that will join the trip, and with a little guidance you fit the harness and attach the pack yourself.

Then we start the hike from the dog yard. At first we walk through light forest terrain, before gradually making our way up toward the mountains. Along the route there are some steeper sections, but we take our time and let the views open up bit by bit. Eventually the terrain evens out, and we move into mountain landscapes with mountain birch, lakes and open plateaus.

At the campsite we pitch tents, take care of the dogs and prepare for the evening meal. When calm settles in, we spend the night either in the tent or under the open sky — close to nature and the sounds of the wilderness.

After breakfast the next morning we break camp and set out on the final leg. We can choose to walk straight back to the kennel, or add an extra experience along the way, perhaps a summit climb, some fishing or a longer hike. We'll decide together.

This is included in the tour:

  • Tent that will be your home in the wilderness
  • Meals
  • Maps guiding us through mountains and open plateaus
  • A dog to lead you into the adventure
