The dogs are the heart of everything we do. We always put their welfare first and want to share the joy of activities with our dogs, the nature and life in the north with our guests.
I have worked as a chef my whole life, and since 2005 I have had the pleasure of creating food based on local ingredients from Finnmark. Through food experiences, courses and dinners at Trasti & Trine I want to share the flavours, stories and traditions from the north with you.

That's why we always set aside something special for those who call Northern Norway home. We call it The Host's Secret. An experience that changes throughout the year and is not advertised publicly. Sometimes it's a meal. Other times it's an overnight stay, an experience or a combination of several things. What they have in common is that they are created with care for the people who keep our local communities alive.
Through Forkprint we build on a simple acknowledgement: we are part of a community, we live with people and depend on nature. Therefore we also want some of what we create to go back to those who live here. The Host's Secret is a small part of that work. An invitation to experience Trasti & Trine in new ways, to gather around the table, to create memories and to discover something new, even in a place you may have visited many times before.
We believe strong local communities are built through meeting places, relationships and experiences that bring people closer together. Therefore The Host's Secret will never be exactly the same. It will develop with the seasons, the people and the ideas that emerge along the way. In this way we hope to create a tradition that feels alive, personal and worth returning to.
