About our four-legged family

Meeting the sun over Finnmark

The tour begins at the kennel, where you'll meet our four-legged family members. Together we choose which dog or dogs will join us on the evening's tour. With a little guidance you will put the dog pack and harness on the dog yourself before we're ready to set off.

The goal for the tour is Pæskanasen, a small mountain top located about a 1.5-hour walk from the kennel. We follow the trail upward, through forest and onward toward the height. Some sections are steep, but we take our time and stop along the way to breathe and enjoy the silence.

If you wish, the four-legged companions can provide a bit of extra pulling power on the way up. Along the way the guide shares stories from Finnmark, the area we are moving through, and life training and competing with huskies.

As we gain altitude the landscape opens up and we get views over Storelvdalen. The bright evening and the sun that never fully sets make it hard to believe that it's actually late at night.

Two ways to experience the adventure

We offer both public and private tours. On our public tours there will be up to twelve guests, and you'll have the opportunity to meet other adventurers from around the world. For private tours you book all the spots, whether you travel alone or with friends and family. A guide will be at your disposal, and everything will be tailored to your wishes — flexible regarding start and end point as well as the activity's duration.
