When the work was recognized

Altaprisen is one of the most respected distinctions in the Alta community and is presented by the Alta Business Association to individuals, companies or organizations that have made a particularly positive contribution to the city's business community.

In 2019 the Altaprisen was awarded to Trasti & Trine, in recognition of our work in helping to elevate Alta as a destination and strengthen the region's experience-based tourism sector. With a clear anchoring in northern Norwegian nature, local food and genuine hospitality, we have created a concept that combines dog sledding, accommodation and culinary experiences in a way that has attracted attention far beyond the region's borders.

For many years we at Trasti & Trine have shown how to build a business based on local resources while developing something unique and innovative. The Altaprisen 2019 is a recognition of this work and of our contribution to putting Alta on the map as a strong and attractive destination.

Altaprisen was established by the Alta Business Association in 1990. The prize was awarded annually from 1990 to 2006, before the presentation was put on pause for a period of ten years. In 2016 the award was reinstated, and since then it has been presented annually in connection with Alta's Business Day. The prize is awarded to actors who have contributed positively to the development of Alta's business community.
