In the Arctic, winter begins long before the snow falls. Become one of us for a week in which we split firewood, care for the dogs, repair equipment, and bring the kitchen garden back to life. Here, you’ll get your hands dirty, work with your body, and gain insight into a daily life where nature sets the terms. Because spring is not only about what sprouts, but about everything we do for what is to come.
When the snow recedes and the days almost never end, one of the most important periods of the year begins at Trasti & Trine. Spring is the time when we prepare. Not only for summer, but also for the winter that will one day return. Here in the north, you learn early that what you do today may matter many months down the line.
We invite you to become part of this everyday life for an entire week. Roll up your sleeves and join us as we split and stack firewood, repair and prepare equipment, care for the dogs, and get the kitchen garden ready for a new growing season. Perhaps we sow the first seeds, perhaps we build something, or find creative solutions to things that do not quite work as planned. Because they seldom do!
Along the way, there will also be time for good meals, stories, a walk through the forest, and perhaps a picnic along the Alta River. You’ll meet the people and dogs who bring this place to life, and experience why care, craftsmanship, and collaboration are part of our way of life.
No two days are ever quite the same here. The weather, the nature, and what actually needs to be done determine much of the content. But that is precisely the point.
A week with real people, practical tasks, and the feeling of being one of us.
