Our food and bar courses
I have worked as a chef my whole life, and since 2005 I have had the pleasure of creating food based on local ingredients from Finnmark. Through food experiences, courses and dinners at Trasti & Trine I want to share the flavours, stories and traditions from the north with you.
Drinks in Balance
In this course we take a closer look at how different drinks affect the body, both in terms of energy, digestion and general well‑being. We explore raw ingredients, production and flavor, and how these elements interact with health and lifestyle. Through a combination of knowledge and tasting you will gain insight into how conscious choices can make a difference in everyday life, and how beverages can be used as a natural part of a balanced diet.
Storytelling
We start all courses by explaining the annual cycle we use — when we harvest ingredients, from birch sap in May to the last mushrooms we pick. We tell stories about the nature around us, about Arctic plants and vegetation, how we use them and how we preserve them, including fermentation, drying and salting.

Two ways to experience the adventure
We offer both public and private tours. On our "public" tours there will be up to twelve guests, and you'll have the opportunity to meet other adventurers from around the world.
For private tours you purchase all the spots, whether you travel alone or with friends and family. You will have a guide at your disposal, and everything will be tailored to your wishes — flexible regarding start and end points as well as the duration of the activity.
