Welcome to a delicious Arctic autumn!
Enjoy an overnight stay in one of our rooms, a dinner inspired by the ingredients of Finnmark, and an experience with our huskies, including lunch in the gamma and relaxation in our wood-fired sauna.
The evening begins in the restaurant, where we serve our traditional Norwegian home-style cooking. The menu is created with local ingredients: game from the area, vegetables from our own garden, berries from nearby, and fish from the sea. Simple and honest flavors from Northern Norway.
After dinner, you can take a quiet walk along the Alta River or settle into the bar, where you can enjoy your favorite music on our record player. Either option is a perfect way to end the evening.
The next morning, one of the owners or one of our breakfast hosts will welcome you to breakfast. Here you’ll find local products, homemade baked goods, and the flavors of the north, while the fireplace crackles in the background.
After breakfast, today’s adventure awaits. Together with our huskies, we set off on a cart ride through Finnmark’s colorful autumn landscape. When the tour is over, we gather in the gamma for lunch and stories about life with the dogs—how we train them, care for them, and live with them through all the seasons of the year.
After lunch, our wood-fired sauna awaits. Here you can relax in the warmth after the day’s experiences, and if you wish, you can order cold drinks and snacks. A peaceful ending to an eventful day.
